My Story

I've always been drawn to what most others seem to walk past without noticing.
Since you're here, I think we might be similar souls.
The ghost home at the end of the road. The brooch in the bottom of a junk bin. The doll with no name, missing a hand, and yet still somehow dignified. I purposefully look past the broken thing to see the interrupted story. My name is Gwendalynn Grey and I'm very glad you have found your way here. I grew up collecting fragments of the past before I had the words to explain why. Victorian romance, gothic whispers, the particular silence of objects that have outlived everyone who loved them. I couldn't leave them behind and so I started bringing them home.
My Nostalgic Soul grew out of that instinct. It is a labor of love and a way of honoring what's been forgotten by making it wearable, visible and alive again. Every piece I make is assembled by hand, one at a time — antique findings, vintage fragments, and carefully chosen materials that belong together. No two are alike. No production runs. Just me, a collection of beautiful remnants, and the story they want to tell next. The story that fits with yours.
I make jewelry for people who feel things deeply. Who notice the details. Who understand that an antique bisque doll or a Victorian key isn't just an object — it's a doorway to the past.
She kept the things that time forgot,
the cracked, the worn, the left-to-rot.
Not out of grief, but out of knowing —
that beauty doesn't stop with going.
She strung them up on silver chain,
and gave the lost their names again.
From my nostalgic soul to yours. — Gwendalynn Grey
