Commission a Piece

Almost everything I make is one of a kind, and most of it has already found its person by the time you see it. If there is a piece you keep thinking about, or something you have carried around in your head and never quite found anywhere, I can make it. There are two ways to start.

1. Recreate something that has sold

Saw a piece in the shop that is already gone? Send me a link or a screenshot. I will build a new one in its spirit. It will not be identical, because the antique doll fragments, keys, and lace are each one of a kind and I will never find the exact same parts twice. But it will be the same idea, the same mood, the same kind of materials.

2. A new piece, from scratch

Tell me what you're drawn to. A theme, a colour, an era. Something tied to a person or a date. A feeling you want to wear. Even a rough sketch of an idea is enough for me to start pulling pieces together.

How it works

  1. Send me the request. The sold piece you loved, or the idea in your head. As much or as little as you have.
  2. I go looking. Commissions begin with a $25 deposit, which is applied to your final total. Once I have started looking for your pieces, the deposit is not refundable. The balance is due once we have agreed on the design, before I start building. Place your $25 deposit here. Then I work from antique bisque doll fragments, old keys and photographs, vintage lace and glass. I come back to you with what I have found and a rough direction.
  3. We settle the details. Length, materials, palette, price. Nothing gets made until you have said yes.
  4. I make it and send it. You will see photos before it ships. It arrives gift-ready, packaged with the same care as everything else in the shop.

Good to know

  • Most commissions land between $60 and $150, depending on materials and work. Larger statement pieces can run higher.
  • Free shipping applies to commissions too. If your commission comes to $70 or more, deposit included, it ships free.
  • Turnaround is usually a few weeks. I will give you a real estimate once we know what we are making.
  • Because a commission is made to your specifications, it is final sale. The preview photos are so there are no surprises.
  • One of a kind, always. Even a recreation of a sold piece will be its own thing.
