Thank you Victoria!

I spent a recent day with the lovely and vivacious Victoria making some pictures and videos of the Frozen Charlotte and Charlie collection. The light that afternoon was absolutely perfect. Later on, it was that golden, slanting kind of September light called "the Gloaming" that makes everything glow from within. It only lasts for a short time before the sun dips too low. I'm grateful when I catch it.

A gentle breeze kept moving through, catching the fabrics, making them dance in the most natural, effortless way. It was the sort of breeze that felt like it was choreographing the shoot itself, lifting a sleeve here, catching an edge there, creating this beautiful sense of movement and life.

We had so much fun playing dress-up, and I found myself mesmerized watching my art being worn and moving as Victoria walked. There's something almost sacred about that moment—seeing a piece you've poured yourself into suddenly come alive on another person, resting near a beating heart, becoming part of someone's story. The Frozen Charlottes and Charlies seemed so content being there, as if they'd been waiting for exactly this.

Of course, Éowyn—my sphynx cat—decided the photoshoot was the perfect time to insert herself into the frame. She'd appear in the most unexpected moments, wanting to be part of the action, her wrinkled little face demanding attention just as we'd capture something magical. She'd wind between Victoria's legs, or perch nearby with that characteristic sphynx intensity, as if to say, "This is my studio too." Those candid moments where Éowyn photobombed us ended up being some of my favorite shots—there's something about her presence that adds this wonderfully chaotic, lived-in feeling to the images.

Halloween is on the way, and I'm already feeling that delicious pull toward autumn—the gothic, moody energy that makes this season feel like it was made for pieces like these. The fall light, the cooler air, the way everything seems to slow down and become more intentional. It's the perfect time for Frozen Charlottes and Charlies.

And here she is — the Gloaming, the breeze, and Éowyn doing her best to steal the show.
